Ann Irene Gonda

Ann Irene Gonda, 54, of Pottsville passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at Lehigh Valley Hospice in Allentown.  She was born on December 5, 1970 in Milford, Connecticut.  

Ann was the daughter of the late Peter Gonda and Christine (Voytek) Gonda.  

Ann was a caring and devoted mother, who loved her family very much.  She graduated from Bunnell High School in Stratford, Connecticut.  She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare

Management.  She also graduated from Western Governors University and earned a Master's in Science in Management Leadership.  Ann was employed as a social worker at Schuylkill 

County Children and Youth.  

Ann is survived by her significant other, Richard Lafey of Pottsville.  She is also survived by her daughter, Crystal Watt of Laureldale, her daughter, Tori Lafey of Pottsville, her daughter, 

Bethany Lafey of Pottsville, her daughter, Shannon Lafey of Pottsville, and her brother Peter Gonda.  

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at the James H. Evans Funeral Home, Inc., St. Clair at 7PM.  Relatives and friends are invited to call from 6PM to 7PM 

Thursday evening at the funeral home.  

Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.  The family would appreciate contributions to the Lafey family in Ann's memory.  James H. Evans Funeral Home, Inc., St. Clair
