Carl M. Deiter III

Carl M. Deiter III, 40, of Pottsville passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at his home.  He was born in Pottsville on May 18, 1985.  Carl was the son of Carl "Chuck" Deiter, Jr., with whom he resided, and Michelle (Shoup) Umbenhouer, wife of Jay of Pottsville.  

He was of the Lutheran Faith.  Carl was a 2004 Graduate of Pottsville Area High School.  He worked at Big Lots Distribution Center in Tremont.  Carl's hobby was outdoor burning and cutting down trees. 

He is preceded in death by a brother, Damiane Deiter, who passed away in 2002.  

In addition to his parents, Carl is survived by his sister, Jacqueline Moyer, wife of Todd of Auburn, his nephew, Cole Moyer of Auburn, aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Religious Service will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at the James H. Evans Funeral Home, Inc., St. Clair at 2PM with Rev. Jack Culbert, officiating.  Relatives and friends are invited to call from 12PM-2PM Saturday afternoon at the funeral home.  Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.  The family would appreciate contributions to defray funeral costs.  James H. Evans Funeral Home, Inc., St. Clair is entrusted with arrangements.
