Helen M. (Smith) Frantz

Helen M. Frantz, 88, of St. Clair passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at Lehigh Valley Hospital- Schuylkill East Norwegian Street, Pottsville.  She was born on June 1, 1936 in St. Clair.  

Helen was the daughter of the late William Smith and Margaret (Brennan) Smith.  

Helen was a member of the St. Clair Wade United Methodist Church.  She was a Sunday School teacher for 36 years with perfect attendance.  Helen was a member of the Chum-Me class of 

her church.  She attended St. Clair schools.  Helen was employed by the St. Clair School District, where she was a crossing guard for many years.  

In addition to her parents, Helen is preceded in death by her husband, Edward E. Frantz, who passed away in 1986.  Also she is preceded in death by her 6 siblings, Margaret Fox, 

Anna Frantz MacNutt, Hannah Wassel, John Smith, Robert Smith, and Betty Sabol.  Helen was the last member of her immediate family.  

Helen is survived by her daughter, Helen Bubbenmoyer of Reading, her son, Robert Frantz, husband of Connie of Strausstown, her grandson, Brian Mullins, her grandson, Kevin Mullins, 

her grandson, Jason Frantz, her granddaughter, Kim Frantz Messner, 15 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.  

A Religious Service will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at the St. Clair Wade United Methodist Church at 11AM with Rev. Jack Murray, officiating.  Relatives and friends are invited to 

call from 10AM to 11AM Tuesday morning at the church.  Interment will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, St. Clair.  James H. Evans Funeral Home, Inc., St. Clair is entrusted with 

arrangements.
