John M. Leary, 88, of Norristown, formerly of St. Clair and Pottsville passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at Jefferson Einstein Montgomery Hospital in East Norristown. He was born on
May 28, 1935 in St. Clair. John was the son of the late John Leary and Frances (Chisick).
He is survived by his wife, Mary (Kalafus) Leary, to whom he was married for 57 years.
John was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville. He was a member of the former Arnots Game and Sports Association, a member of the St. Clair Fish and Game Association and a
member of the Pottsville Historical Society. He worked as a machine operator at Allied Chemical.
John was in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War.
In addition to his wife, John is survived by his daughter, Alison Williams, wife of Scott of King of Prussia, and his sister, Betsy Stutz of Georgia.
A Religious Service will be held on Friday, May 3, 2024 at the James H. Evans Funeral Home, Inc., St. Clair at 11AM with Pastor Christopher Rothharpt, officiating. Relatives and friends are
invited to call from 9:30AM-11AM Friday morning at the funeral home. A Military service for John will be held at the funeral home following the religious service. Interment will be in the Odd
