June A. (Murphy) Stefan

June A. Stefan, 63, of St. Clair passed away on Friday, September 27, 2024 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, Allentown.  She was born in Pottsville on October 4, 1960.  June was the 

daughter of the late Gerald B. Murphy and Minerva (Cappell) Murphy. 

June was of the Methodist Faith.  She was a 1976 Graduate of Pottsville Area High School.  She worked as an Administrator at the Salvation Army in Wilkes-Barre.

In addition to her parents, June is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Stefan, who passed away in 2018.  Also, she is preceded in death by her son, Jason Patrick Meyer, who passed 

away in 2022, her sister, Florence Leskin, and her 2 brothers, Daniel Murphy and Michael Murphy. 

June is survived by her daughter, Shannon Meyer-Newell, fiancee of Joseph Sherwood of Berwick, her brother, Gerald Murphy, Sr., husband of Lou Ann of Hawaii, her granddaughter, Haley, 

her granddaughter, Kori, her grandson, Jason and her granddaughter, Phoebe.  

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, November 4, 2024 at the James H. Evans Funeral Home, Inc., St. Clair at 11AM with Rev. Jack Culbert, officiating.  Relatives and friends are 

invited to call from 9:30AM to 11AM Monday morning at the funeral home.  Interment will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, St. Clair.
