Ronald Haslam, 83, of Wadesville-Pottsville passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2026 at Rosewood Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Schuylkill Haven. He was born in Pottsville on September 19, 1942. Ron was the son of the late Lamar Haslam and Anna (McGovern) Haslam. He is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara A. (Shappell) Haslam, who passed away in 2025.
Ron was a member of St. Clair Wade United Methodist Church. He was a graduate of Pottsville Area High School. Ron then attended Thaddeus Stevens Trade School and then became a member of the United Steel Workers Union. Ron worked at the former Dana Parish in Reading as a tool maker.
In addition to his parents and wife, Ron is preceded in death by his son, Ronald Scott Haslam, his grandson, Scotty Haslam and his 2 brothers, Paul Haslam and Robert Haslam.
Ron is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Long, wife of Rich of Pottsville, his son, Bradley Haslam, husband of Kimberly of St. Clair, his daughter, Amy Rodrian, wife of Richard of St. Clair, his brother, Allan Haslam of Winter Park, Florida, 10 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2026 at the James H. Evans Funeral Home, Inc., St. Clair at 11AM with Rev. Jack Murray, officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to call from 10AM to 11AM Thursday morning. Interment will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, St. Clair. James H. Evans Funeral Home, Inc., St. Clair is entrusted with arrangements.
